Reflecting Pool

Ever since an experience I had with the Presence of Jesus last Thursday, I have been so focused on the beauty of being and becoming all that God desires me to be. This used to seem so overwhelming, as I know what God has for me is very weighty and important. But, on Thursday, something supernaturally clicked within me, and it is not a phase. It is not something I am putting massive amounts of "work" and "effort" into; it is just like God has gracefully slipped this passionate, yet not tense pursuit of becoming who I've been meant to be all along.

Anyhow,
I gave that introduction to propose that you join me! Give some thought to who you are right now versus who you know you are destined to be. If it helps, write it down in two separate columns to compare the two. If it helps, think about where you were five years ago and where you assumed you would be at this time versus where you actually are. This is not in any way to cause condemnation or depression, but rather to be used as a starting point. Just decide that from here on, you will work towards being who you actually ARE. God had your purposes and importance planned as he was creating you--and He loves it! It is who you are.
Understand that you really have no limits, and any that you perceive to have did not come from God, but rather from past experiences, or people with evil in their hearts.

YOU ARE GOLDEN. There is no way around it. The only key is to figure out what God created you to do or be. Once you figure that out, there is no stopping you.

Think of it as a cell phone wanting to be a spoon all its life... That cell phone is going to think that it absolutely sucks! But it doesn't! It sucks as a spoon... because everything in it was created to be a cell phone. If it knew that and decided to act like a cell phone and work like a cell phone, it would be so secure in its value and worth! That's how it can be with us at times. Seek God and ask Him to tell you who you are! Becoming that, with the help of Holy Spirit, will give you so much more satisfaction that all the work and disappointment that will come if you are seeking to be anything other than that which you were created to be.

Blessings!
